Iwan Rashman Gulamoydeen was appointed as Non-Independent
Non-Executive Director of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad on
1 September 2019. He is a member of the Board Nomination &
Remuneration and Board Audit Committees.
Iwan Rashman is currently a Director with the Legal team of Khazanah
Nasional Berhad ("Khazanah"). He joined Khazanah in 2007 as part of the Risk
Management Unit where he was involved in setting up the Governance &
Risk Management Framework, Limits of Authority and conducted various
internal audits for Khazanah. Since moving to Legal, he has spent the last
10 years working on many milestone transactions, both locally and abroad,
across various sectors such as healthcare, media, renewable energy and
aviation. He has also worked on a number of iconic IPO exercises for
Khazanah investee companies such as Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd and
IHH Healthcare Bhd in 2012, which at that time was the world’s third
largest IPO.
Prior to joining Khazanah, Iwan spent 5 years with the Securities Commission
where he served in the Enforcement and the Listing divisions respectively.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Tasmania and
was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2001.
