New Features of Enhanced Security for i-Muamalat
Beginning January 2025, we are implementing additional layers of security for i-Muamalat Online Portal and Mobile Application. This is part of our ongoing effort to further safeguard your online banking security against fraud, in line with the regulatory direction to combat financial scams and frauds.

1. | 1st Party Transaction Limit |
i-Muamalat Online Portal will be displaying new transaction limit type which is 1st Party Transaction Limits. Starting 15 January 2025, as part of regulatory requirements, there will be two separate i-Muamalat transaction limits for 1st party and 3rd party transactions. What is 1st Party Limit? The 1st party limit applies to transfers between accounts that belong to the same person. For example, when you transfer fund from your savings account to your current/credit card/financing account within Bank Muamalat, it is considered a 1st party transfer. |
2. | i-MSecure Authentication for 1st Party Transaction and favourite account transaction | Implementation of i-MSecure Transaction Authentication for:
All transaction must be authenticated using i-MSecure Device. |
3. | Activation (Cooling-off) Period |
There will be a 12-Hour Activation (Cooling-off) Period when you perform the following:-
Note: (*) Activation must be done either by call Contact Centre or visiting the bank branch. For immediate activation, you may visit the nearest branch. Branch may perform uplift activation period after thorough verification executed. To help prevent unauthorised login/authorisation, you may login i-Muamalat/use i-MSecure to authorise transactions 12 hours after the maintenance is performed. |
4. | Kill Switch for immediate deactivation of i-Muamalat access in case of fraud suspicion | Kill Switch is a feature to temporarily block all login attempts when you suspect that your i-Muamalat login credentials have been compromised.
This feature is a quick way to prevent scammers from accessing your i-Muamalat account and preventing any outgoing transactions from your account(s). You can locate the feature at i-Muamalat Online Portal and Mobile Application login page. You may contact our Customer Care Line at 03-2600 5500 to re-activate your i-Muamalat account. |
5. | Discontinuation of Self Reactivation and SMS for Successful Transaction | As part of regulatory and to optimize our i-Muamalat function, Bank has discontinued below features:
