Managing the Increasing Cyber Threats

The complexity of cyber threats against financial institutions are becoming increasingly rampant, more sophisticated, and can take many forms.

 

Our cybersecurity measures and controls are equipped with the necessary security protection and cyber threat detection. We continuously monitor our infrastructure for anomalies and malicious behaviour. Additionally, we work closely with government agencies such as CyberSecurity Malaysia and other stakeholders to stay updated on the latest attack trends to enhance our cybersecurity posture.

In the event of a cybersecurity incident, a swift response is crucial for resiliency. The ecosystem that Bank Muamalat has created ensures the infrastructure and data are well protected with swift recovery.

How to report data breaches or malicious banking activity?

In the event there’s suspicious banking activity, customers are required to:

  • Call BMMB Customer Service at +603-2615 8000
  • Report to National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) at 997
  • Make an official police report
