CYBERSECURITY ALERT: MALICIOUS SMSSpy CAMPAIGN

Dear Valued Customer,

Malaysia’s CyberSecurity Emergency Response Team (MyCERT) has released an advisory on the latest fraud campaign known as SMSSpy, targeting internet users.

It has also come to light that fraudsters have created several fake websites, impersonating popular Malaysian cleaning services and pet stores, to steal personal and banking details.

We would like to remind our customers to stay alert by adopting the following best practices to safeguard against malware scams:

1. ONLY perform transactions on our official site and app:

   (a) https://www.i-muamalat.com.my

   (b) i-Muamalat Mobile

2. DO NOT click on any unknown link sent through SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger or other messaging services
3. ONLY install apps from trusted sources
4. NEVER share your username and password with third party
5. CHECK and update your application setting
6. DO NOT use public or an unsecured network
